Salomé brings Portugal's tile tradition into every Ownever box through her original tile artwork. Estrela handcrafts each box by hand, preserving a rare craft that is slowly disappearing. Together, they transform packaging into something worth keeping.

Salomé created an original tile-inspired artwork portraying three generations: grandmother, mother, and granddaughter. A fitting symbol for a brand that believes in pieces made to be cherished and passed on across generations.
Salomé never intended to become an artist. Drawn first to scientific illustration, she discovered the pleasure of the line and eventually found her way to the Portuguese azulejo.

She sees tile art not as a tradition of the past, but as a contemporary art form. Her work bridges Portugal's artistic heritage with a new generation rediscovering its beauty.
Estrela
The Last Handmade Box Maker in Portugal
Estrela was 14 when a colleague named Rosa taught her how to make her first box. Thirty-nine years later, she still remembers her name. That is how she lives her craft: with memory, gratitude, and care.
Today, Estrela is the last artisan in Portugal dedicated to making luxury boxes entirely by hand.
"I think a handmade box already carries our love within it. The love for packaging is something the world is slowly losing."
Her 10-year-old daughter has grown up in the workshop and already makes boxes of her own. For Estrela, every fold and every seam carries the time, care, and love of the person who made it.
